Steinbeck and Ricketts' Pacific GroveMark your calendar! You won’t want to miss this new and exciting event.

Saturday, October 1 & Sunday, October 2

@ Chautauqua Hall

It is a 90-minute guided tour of the Pacific Grove where John Steinbeck and Ed Rickets met, lived, worked, and played for nearly three decades (1920s – 1950s). Although most people associate Salinas and Cannery Row with Steinbeck and Ricketts, it is in Pacific Grove where Ed Ricketts moved to from Chicago, opened his business – Pacific Biological Laboratories, lived with his family, and met John Steinbeck, who had been coming to Pacific Grove from the age of 6. Steinbeck met Ricketts when John and his new bride moved to Pacific Grove and began what is arguable his most prolific writing and story development period.

Join the Heritage Society on October 1 or 2, aboard a comfortable tour bus that will introduce you to Steinbeck and Ricketts’ Pacific Grove – see where they lived, worked, and played, as well as the many locations that found their way into Steinbeck’s novels, Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday.

Tickets are limited.

All tickets will be available for pickup at Will Call on Oct. 1 & Oct. 2 at Chautauqua Hall.

Online ticket sales for this event are closed.
